Text Box:    End of 2011 and Beginning of 2012    In September of this year we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Noahs of Ark Walk to Emmaus Community.  In our 25 years, we have hosted 159 Walks and 21 Chrysalis Flights.  Our community numbers are over 5,000.  This year alone we have had 165 men and women who have attended the Walk to Emmaus and we have had 54 youth who have attended Chrysalis.  And like all who came before them, Christ has had an effect on the growth of these persons and how    they relate to their families, their churches, their communities and to the world. We have an exciting plan for next year that includes 2 Chrysalis Flights, one in January and one in the Summer and three Men’s and three Women’s Walks throughout 2012.  Through our scheduled Walks in 2012, we have an opportunity to offer this wonderful thing called Walk to Emmaus to 36 Men and Women on each of the walks as well as countless youth on each Flight.  We need full Walks and Flights to better serve the purpose of our community both spiritually and financially. Now is an important time to plan on participating by good sponsoring, by serving, and by praying for these events in the coming year.                  Our community has begun a new relationship with Internet Membership Systems.  This is an Emmaus/Chrysalis data base company that will host our membership data as well as assist in our organization of the Noahs of Ark Community.     While this has been almost 9 months in organizing, we hope to be able to open this up to the community early in 2012. Starting with the first walk of 2012 our costs will go up approximately $17 per participant with increases coming from Camp Tanako and the Upper Room. The Walk fees will go up to $200 starting with the February 23-26 Men’s Walk.
